Weekly Summary

Good Job!

Good Job! Weigh Day 9 and I’m on cloud nine. Ready to grapple with Christmas. Good job is exactly how I feel. Christmas is rum old time. Temptation in your face left, right and centre. I’ve not been totally good this week admittedly. Not bad either. I ate some Quality Street chocolates on Thursday; they did nothing for me. Same with the chocolate I reported on last week. On the other hand, I counted every day albeit a bit shoddily over the weekend. There was takeaway devoured as well. My steps have been reduced as Larice has been off work and taking Bowie out most days. So, not disappointed like the last time I “only” lost a relatively small amount in comparison but embracing it, as any weight loss is good.

weigh day#9

Dissecting the figures and milestones reached. Over 10 kilos or a stone and a half gone. I’m now under 128 Kilograms. With each small loss, I feel better and breathe better. I’ve been doing this for exactly two months today. I felt invigorated as I walked Bowie around the park this morning in dreadful weather. Preferring to listen to the sound of the elements as opposed to a Spotify playlist. This was a good time to gather thoughts. My journey has been successful so far. I’ve completely changed my way of thinking and how I approach food.

Dilemma

Christmas 2023

I’ve reported that I was completely unsure of how to approach Christmas. The sensible thing would have been to carry on regardless and stay off the booze and overindulgence of food. Yeah, I know I should have done but I’ve earned a few days off I feel. I’ve stacked up with booze, the fridge is bursting at the seams and I’m ready to go! Once more, I go back to mindset. Not putting on too much weight is my primary goal. I want to use the techniques I’ve learned recently in a less strict environment. I’ve not had alcohol in three months. When you change your lifestyle for good, you can let yourself loose a little and then return to what you were doing before. Well, I hope so! No, I will. I cannot go back to where I was two months ago.

Good Job

The fact I’ve started this journey and stuck with it for two months is reason alone to celebrate. It’s not really a celebration, I’m just loosening the shackles a little. Our Christmas food shop was relatively painless and I feel quite smug sitting in a nice, warm, quiet house writing these musings instead of being out there. I took the girls to The Trafford Centre this morning at 9 AM as the roads were still relatively quiet but noticeably busier than usual. By the time I was nearly home, you could sense they were about to implode!

good job

Needless to say, they are getting a tram or Uber back to HQ! I can imagine by now it is complete madness out there! I am so glad to be stuck indoors! The only reason I’ve not cracked an alcoholic beverage open is because I just might get the call to head out and pick them up. I know what they’re like!!!! Update, they went for the Uber option!!! Good job!

The Week Ahead

My Approach

I’m an unpredictable kind of chap at the best of times. I’m back at work on Wednesday so that’s three days to recover any lost momentum. On the other hand, I feel a different person from what I was two months ago. When that first alcoholic beverage hits my lips, I won’t know what to believe. Everything may well go up or smoke or matters could settle quite amicably. In any case, I’m soon going to find out! One of my favourite aspects is experimenting and trying different things. My mind feels so much stronger but I’m unsure how the next few days will go! I’m hoping to post some ramblings on proceedings!

good job

Merry Christmas… from me and him below!!! Good job!
